Topsail Island sits about 40 miles northeast of Wilmington. A 26-mile long barrier island just off the North Carolina coast, it's home to three charming seaside towns: North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach.

Topsail Island is easily accessible by car, or you can fly into a Wilmington International Airport (ILM) or Ellis Airport (OAJ) in Richlands NC, near Jacksonville, NC.
Both options are approximately a 55-minute drive to Topsail Island.

Topsail Island is divided into three jurisdictions- North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach. There are two bridges to access the island- one that enters the island at North Topsail and one in Surf City. Our wedding is in North Topsail Beach. If you prefer being able to walk to dining or the fishing pier, a stay in Surf City may be better suited.
